A Mudança Climática Global, representa um dos maiores desafios da humanidade contemporânea, a qual sustenta seu grau de desenvolvimento graças as constantes emissões de CO2 e CH4, entre outros gazes contribuintes do Efeito Estufa, exigindo assim uma imediata mudança nos hábitos de consumo e comportamento de sociedades inteiras. Este trabalho, tem como proposta promover o levantamento de informações e ações que comprovem o sequestro de carbono atmosférico como estratégia de combate e redução ao Efeito Estufa.

The male is 38 to 40 cm in length and the female 28 to 30 cm, 29cm of the male’s length and 19 of the female’s are the long forked tail. The upper parts are bluish grey and the ventral part white. Conhecida também por hidrólise alcalina, a reação de saponificação é um tipo de reação química que ocorre entre um éster e uma base inorgânica, na presença de água e aquecimento, tendo como produtos finais um sal orgânico e um álcool. Na imagem o glicerídeo representa o éster; a base inorgânica é a soda cáustica (3NaOH);o sabão é o sal orgânico e o álcool é o glicerol ou glicerina.

O objetivo desta imagem é demonstrar o mecanismo de funcionamento da ectotermia, condição termorreguladora que alguns animais apresentam, por exemplo, os répteis – como a serpente ilustrada – na qual o ambiente influencia diretamente na temperatura corporal do indivíduo. Desta forma, em ambientes frios, o animal necessita buscar fontes externas de aquecimento, como raios de sol, pedras aquecidas, dentre outros.
